MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom has encountered connection issue on Wednesday, November 2, which has resulted to failed sending of text messages for its prepaid customers.
In a statement posted on Twitter late Wednesday, Globe said that the cause of the network issue was the power failure at one of their facilities.
"Due to power failure at one of our facilities, our Globe Prepaid customers experienced temporary loss of services earlier this evening," Globe shared.
The firm also apologized for the inconvenience and has promised to bring back operation to normal.
It was not advised if prepaid cellular brand Touch Mobile (TM) was also affected and the extent of the network problem.
"Rest assured that the issue has been fixed, and customers may get in touch with family and loved ones again," the company added.
