MANILA, Philippines - Netizen Aaron Santos was shooting for the moon when he tried to ask his crush Bianca Yao out on a date.
In a message sent through Facebook, Santos asked Yao if she would agree to go on a date with him if his post amasses 5,000 likes, 2,500 comments as well as 2,500 shares.
“Hello biancrush, I don’t usually do this, but I will give it a shot. 5k likes, 2,5k comments, 2.5 shares. Then we’ll go out on a date. G?’ Santos wrote.
Santos didn’t receive any response from Yao until three weeks later. Yao, who assumed Santos will never get the numbers within a day, decided to give Santos a chance.
In order to accomplish his goal, Santos took a screenshot of their conversation and posted it on his Facebook page on Tuesday, September 27. A day after its posting, Santos’ post earned nearly 100,000 likes, 13,000 comments and 3,000 shares- figures that surpassed his target numbers.
Impressed with Santos’ move, Yao finally agreed to go on a friendly date with him.
“My word is my bond and I guess I’ll have to go out on a friendly date with this guy. Eto ang literal na napalaban ang ate nyo. HAHAHA! any recommended restaurants in Manila? Sagot mo ba to o sagot ko??? Sagot agad Aaron Santos!! HAHAHAHA,” Yao wrote in her post.
On Friday, September 30, Santos revealed that their date will indeed push thru. However, he didn’t divulge details about it.
“Update: Yes tuloy ang date. matagal pa naman just wait for it :)
It'll just be a plain simple get to know date and nothing special about it (well, except for her Bianca Yao),” Santos revealed.
