In a Facebook post, PAGASA weather forecaster Benison Estareja shared that the low pressure area (LPA) has developed outside PAR at east of Mindanao.

"The LPA may intensify into 'bagyo' over the weekend while still outside PAR," Estareja said.

If it enters PAR, it is possible that 'Bagyong Butchoy' will not make landfall and will traverse the Philippine Sea moving northwest.

On Saturday morning, the weather bureau added that Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol region and MIMAROPA. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the southwest over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.

The enhanced 'Habagat' is possible over Metro Manila, Southern Luzon and Visayas sometime from Wednesday until Friday next week, according to forecast models.

PAGASA said that one to three typhoons may enter PAR this July.
