IN PHOTOS: 'Blood Moon' Lunar Eclipse in PH tonight (October 8, 2014)

MANILA, Philippines - Netizens on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 have shared majestic photos of rare cosmic event, the lunar eclipse known as 'blood moon'.

The total lunar eclipse became visible in the Philippines as the skies were clear in many areas. At 4:14 p.m. Philippine Standard Time (PST), the moon was bathed in dark blood red with the celestial show ends at 9:35 p.m. (PST).

State weather bureau PAGASA said that the eclipse on Wednesday is second in a series of Blood Moon eclipses this year. The first total lunar eclipse took place last April 15.
