PHOTOS: Vista Land launches its most expansive CBD in the South

Manila, Philippines - Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc., the country's largest homebuilder officially launched today, July 26, 2014 the Vista City, its most expansive Commercial Business District (CBD) in the Southern part of Metro Manila.

Vista Land Chairman Manny Villar led the launch of the multi-billion pioneering project at the Evia Lifestyle Center in Daang Hari Road, Las Piñas City.

The compay said it will spend around P50 billion in the next five years for the development of Vista City, Vista Land's most ambitious development yet which houses Lifestyle Retail, Prime Office Space, University Town, Themed Residential developments and other leisure components. The project covers a total of 1,500 hectares strategically located where Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Laguna and Cavite meet.

"This metropolitan catch-basin is where people are bound to come together. In Vista City, business opportunities, culture, livability, and innovation merge in harmony," the company stated.

Vista City is expected to play a major role in the development of the mega-metropolis for strengthening its own growth and increasing revenue opportunities.

"The aim is for Vista City to attract residents in the upper, mid-range and starter home categories and a range of commercial locators, businesses including BPOs and IT-heavy sectors, healthcare entities, leisure facilities and innovative educational institutions such as corporate universities and schools for new technologies," Villar said.

According to Villar, residential area totalling 14,100 under Brittany, Crown Asia and Camella projects will be added to the existing 550 hectares which already homed 45,000 households.

Vista City's mall and retail components will have a total gross floor area of 120,000 square meters. Landmark named Evia Lifestyle Center, a five-hectare commercial area is now fast becoming one of the high-end destinations of the area.

The center’s first phase called Evia Everyday is now open to visitors looking for a bar to party at, a café to lay back in, or a restaurant to catch up with friends at. It also houses Rustan’s Supermarket as its anchor store. The second phase, Evia Global Village, will open soon, with an open-air retail promenade set to be completed later this year. It will cater to a market with a taste for retail diversity and convenience.

Another feature of Vista City is the Vista Hub, an entire district devoted to business and commerce. Earmarked to become one of the most advanced business and IT parks in the country, the initial 10-hectare phase is already underway and will be a future home to the BPO sector.

Vista Hub also housed one of Manila’s most desired wedding venues, the Fernbrook Gardens.

Encompassing 100 hectares in total, Vista City will also have its own spaces for sports, health, higher learning, even religious worship as planned for University Town component.

"After more than 35 years of building homes for its valued homeowners, the communities are now thriving with a strong and critical master base," Villar added.

The new CBD project is expected to generate jobs for residents of Las Pinas, Paranaque and other parts of southern Metro Manila, as well as the province of Cavite.
