Video: Jimboy Garcia, Darlene Vibares 3-chair turners on 'The Voice Kids' Philippines

Manila, Philippines - 'The Voice Kids' Philippines premiered on Saturday, May 24, 2014 with 2 in the first batch of contestants got the most awaited 3-chair turn from the judges.

Jimlord "Jimboy" Garcia, who hails from Paniqul, sang Journey's "Faithfully" in the first Blind Auditions episode of ABS-CBN reality program impressed the judges Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Manalac, and Lea Salonga and became the first 3-chair-turner.

Garcia's soaring voice immediately impressed Salonga, who was first to turn her chair. Manalac and Geronimo pressed their buttons as Garcia approached the higher notes of the popular tune.

"Lahat naman po kayo, magagaling na judges, kaya nga lang po isa lang po [ang puwedeng piliin]," Garcia said. "Ang pipiliin ko po ay si Coach Lea."

Meanwhile, 9-year-old Darlene Vibares, who hails from Antipolo City, also impressed all the judges with her rendition of Alicia Keys' "Girl On Fire."

Salonga, who was the last to press her button, wowed by Vibares' performance as the girl jumped repeatedly over the successful blind audition.

Vibares did not appear to hesitate with her decision to pick a coach "whose name starts with the letter L." The small "clue" got an elated response from Salonga, who approached Vibares on stage to hug her.

By the end of the pilot episode of "The Voice Kids," Salonga was able to recruit three young artists -- Garcia, 11-year-old Koko Luy, and 9-year-old Darlene Vibares.

Geronimo and Manalac, meanwhile, each scored one recruit. Thirteen-year-old Grazz Enriquez joined Team Bamboo, while 11-year-old twins JM and JC Urquico got into Team Sarah.
