Typhoon 'Nando' PAGASA Weather Forecast August 25, 2013

Manila, Philippines - The Low Pressure Area (LPA) spotted at East of Dinagat Islands has developed into a Tropical Depression and was named “Nando”, weather bureau PAGASA advised in a tropical cyclone (typhoon) forecast issued at 11:30 AM, August 25, 2013.

The location center of Tropical Depression “NANDO” as of 10:00 AM today was estimated based on all available data at 290 km East of Borongan City (11.2°N, 128.6°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center.

Tropical Depression 'Nando' is forecast to move North Nortwest at 13 kph.

Tropical Depression “NANDO” is expected to be at 270 km East of Virac, Catanduanes tomorrow morning and at 340 km East of Casiguran, Aurora by Tuesday morning. By Wednesday morning, it is expected to be at 310 km Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan.

The weather bureau's estimated rainfall amount is from 5 – 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 PM today.
