Smart
has been shortlisted in four categories of the prestigious World Communication
Awards. President and CEO, Napoloeon L. Nazareno, is one of the nominees
for CEO of the Year, while Smart is also one of the finalists in the Best
Operator in a Developing Market category--competing against Bharti Airtel, the
CVT Group, Liquid Telecom, and Viettel-Unitel. Nominated under the Social
contribution category is SHINE or the Secured Health Information Network and
Exchange, while Smart’s Green Merchandising Program is shortlisted under the
Green Award cetegory.
On the other hand, Globe Telecom’s CEO Ernest Cu is also shorlisted for the CEO of the Year Award.
