PMA said that ratio of passers is:  792 males (66%) and 404 females (34%).

This year’s number of qualified examinees who took the Cadet Qualifying Test was 14,829, and of this number, only 14,540 completed the written examination, but still, this number surpassed the figures of the number of PMA examinees for the last eighteen years by 240% increase, PMA said.

The conduct of the PMA Entrance Examination this year can be considered a success, considering that significant number of regular applicants showed up during the actual day of the examination, including the huge number of qualified walk-in applicants. This can be attributed to the recruitment efforts of the Academy which was highly supported by the different AFP Units, with the Chief of Staff, AFP, at the forefront. These efforts were complemented by the PMA Alumni, the Local Government Units and Agencies.

PMA said that the successful examinees will be notified by the PMA Office of Cadet Admission of the result of their examination and will be given instructions as to the conduct of the Complete Physical Examination, the second phase in the selection process, which the cadet candidate has to pass to be appointed as member of PMA Class 2017 who will be officially received in PMA on April 01, 2013.
