FULL RESULTS: October 2021 CPA board exam list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines – The October 2021 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam results including the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools are released online on October 19 or in five (5) working days after the last day of exam.

As announced, 361 out of 2,367 (15.25%) passed the exams. The results of examination with respect to five (5) examinees were withheld as per Board Resolution No. 43 dated October 19, 2021.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the first CPA licensure exam (CPALE) during the pandemic in the cities of Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga on October 10, 11 and 12.

Note that CPALE in Manila was rescheduled to December 16, 17, and 18, 2021 due to the "extension of the General Community Quarantine Alert Level 4 in the National Capital Region (NCR) until October 15, 2021, and following the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) guidelines on the pilot implementation of alert level system for COVID-19 response prohibiting the conduct of examination activities in areas classified under Alert Level 4."

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

From November 16 to November 19, 2021, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to online.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC added.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

CPA board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The 3-day examination covered the following subjects:

October 10: Management Advisory Services and Auditing

October 11: Taxation and Regulatory Framework for Business Transactions

October 12: Financial Accounting and Reporting and and Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting

RELEASE OF RESULTS

Based on PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the target release of results for the recent CPA board exam is after six (6) working days or expected on October 20.

However, results may be released online ahead or on later date without prior notice. We advise takers to monitor announcement of results starting Friday, October 15.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the last CPA board exam before the pandemic (October 2019), PRC released results in six (6) working days. The agency named 2,075 out of 14,492 (only 14.32%) who passed the exams. Justine Louie Bautista Santiago from University of Santo Tomas (UST) topped the board with 90.33%.

In the May 2019 CPALE, results were out in five (5) working days. PRC named 1,699 out of 10,319 who successfully hurdled the series of tests. Josemaria Alvaro Cabarrus Fontillas and Geraldine Jade Frayco Papa, both from De La Salle University (DLSU)-Manila, aced the board with 89.83%.

In the October 2018 exams, PRC also announced results after 6 working days. A total of 3,616 out of 14,358 (25.18%) passed the series of tests. Lahaira Amy Cayog Reyes from UST led the passers with 91.83%.
