A 22-year-old aunt from Bacoor, Cavite did not let the pandemic stop her from flaunting her style. Clad in an all-black ensemble, Annel Ramones channeled a mysterious rich Tita-look during her nephew’s virtual recognition program on Wednesday, June 30.

According to Ramones, she grabbed the opportunity to get “extra” during the online event since she didn’t have the chance to go out that much.

“Bilang isang extrang tita na hindi naman nakakagala sa labas, pumorma talaga me! I sent them sa family GC and tawang tawa silang lahat,” Ramones said.

However, Ramones revealed that she decided to change her outfit just before the event as her nephew was embarrassed.

“Kaso nag change ako last minute, kasi nahihiya talaga yung pamangkin ko! Reading-ready na sana ako!”

Moreover, Ramones didn’t want to take the spotlight from the awardee so she opted to wear a casual outfit more appropriate for the event. The “extra tita” just decided to share her photos on Facebook.

“Siyempre spotlight niya 'yun at siya 'yung may award, so nagpalit na lang ako ng mas approriate [na damit at] inupload ko na lang ito sa Facebook para 'di sayang effort!”

In her interview with Inquirer, the overly prepared aunt said that she was proud of her fifth-grade nephew Louis Miguel Ramones, who earned the High Honors award from Technology Integrated Montessori.

“Eh 'yung nephew ko kasi with High Honors, so siyempre binonggahan ko na talaga 'yung outfitan, [kasi] proud tita ako!,” Ramones told Inquirer in an interview.

She added that it was her first time to attend a school recognition and had always imagined herself attending such event as a guardian.

“It's my first time din kasi na umattend sa mga school recognition. And for some reason, lagi kong naiimagine na tuwing may ganitong event before sa school ko, ako naman 'yung aakyat hindi dahil sa medal, [kundi] dahil ako naman 'yung guardian,” Ramones explained.
