Addressing netizens, she apologized and explained that it was already dawn at the time; thus, she was already tired and wasn’t able to choose her words properly in dealing with the GrabFood rider who was making a delivery in the area.

The team leader of Annex 1 and 2 in the barangay, Rudy Bernardino, also apologized over the incident wherein he and another barangay official were accused of harassing the GrabFood rider while they were issuing the closure order for the lugaw store.

His companion added that it was not their intention to scare Ignacio.

The barangay captain explained that they issued this public apology to show what action they are taking to resolve the issue. He apologized to those affected by the incident and promised that the barangay officials involved in the issue will not be exempted from the full force of the law.
