Good Samaritan cop receives Php100k after giving $100 to working student

MANILA, Philippines – The Good Samaritan cop who gave $100 (Php5k) to a working student receives a wonderful surprise from an anonymous citizen: Php100k! He received good karma for his wonderful deed. Wow.

PCPL Jon Jon Nacino caught GrabFood rider and working student Joshua Basa over a minor traffic violation at a checkpoint.

Touched by the young man’s story as a hardworking student who had to juggle his studies with work, first at Shakey’s then later at Grab, the policeman handed him the $100 he had long kept in his wallet. Instead of a ticket that the student had to pay for, he gave the kid some money.

This earned him the admiration of the student and netizens who were happy that he helped the distraught young man who works hard to support himself. One netizen admired him so much that this person decided to reward the policeman for his kind deed.

Instead of just giving him an amount equivalent to what he shared to the working student, this person (who chose to remain anonymous) gave him Php100k. That’s a fantastic reward for the kind deed that he didn’t think anyone would know about.

The donor coursed the donation through the police station. Nacino was called by their chief to report at the station to answer a ‘complaint’. A nervous Nacino arrived at the station, unsure of what he had done.

The police chief told him they received a ‘complaint’ against him and told him to recall what could have happened. The young policeman was unsure what the complaint was about but was surprised to open the envelope of the ‘complaint’. Inside, there’s a bundle of money for him.

“Nakaka inspire naman talaga ang kabutihan ng puso nitong pulis na ito. Sana lahat katulad niya. Saludo din sa donor ng 100k. Good Samaritan kayong dalawa po. God bless,” netizen Edgar Falculan commented.
