“The first anniversary of UNIQLO Manila Global Flagship Store signifies the brand’s success in the Philippines and in the region, thanks to our customers," said Geraldine Sia, Co-COO, UNIQLO Philippines.

In keeping with its LifeWear philosophy of creating clothes designed to make lives of Filipinos better, UNIQLO launches several contents and collections on the first anniversary of UNIQLO Manila Global Flagship Store in Glorietta 5.

This includes LifeWear magazine, available as well in all stores nationwide. The flagship store will open a section showcasing styles from the issue. The premier edition of this free publication, timed with the 2019 Fall/Winter season, demonstrates how LifeWear embodies the UNIQLO commitment to creating pieces to meet the needs of everyone’s lifestyle.

Meanwhile, the latest UNIQLO U Fall/Winter collection features progressive essentials created by a dedicated team at UNIQLO’s Paris R&D Center led by Artistic Director Christophe Lemaire.

Another exciting content is UTme!, the brand’s digital T-shirt printing service exclusive to UNIQLO Manila Global Flagship Store. Customers can create one-of-a-kind graphic shirts and tote bags using the tablets at the UTme! section located at the second floor. Fun and easy to use, shoppers can send in their personal photos, type texts, and apply special effects on their chosen canvas.

As part of the brand’s dedication to promote Filipino talent, UNIQLO has partnered with 10 local artists for its #UTmeArtPH collection. The debut collection ‘Future’ features artworks that inspire hope, celebrating the restless optimism of the Philippines—a place full of potential and possibilities. Designs created by Happy Garaje, Rob Cham, Isabel Weber, Manix Abrera, Ev Yu, Mika Bacani, Otto Björnik, Myka Arnado, Auggie Fontanilla, and Soleil Ignacio will be available for customers to use for their personalized t-shirts and will come with a gift card where personal messages can be written on.

Local collaborations

Continuing its efforts to empower Filipinos to pursue their passions, UNIQLO recognizes local game-changers who help drive Manila forward. A celebration of Manila’s flourishing and forward-thinking culture, Our Future Is Here campaign continues as the brand draws a parallel between UNIQLO products, its brand values, and the character of Manila. It is a city that is full of life, diversity, and always moving forward—characteristics that align perfectly to UNIQLO and LifeWear.

For UNIQLO Manila Global Flagship Store’s first anniversary, UNIQLO collaborates with multi-awarded and world renowned furniture designer and manufacturer, Kenneth Cobonpue and one-stop, homegrown outdoor brand, Celeste Cycles. Products of these local brands are showcased in-store to provide customers the complete LifeWear experience.
