MANILA, Philippines – The traffic situation in Metro Manila is getting worse with each passing day that there are sectors calling for the president to the given emergency powers so he could solve this problem immediately. Of course, his detractors refuse to believe the president could solve the traffic problem even if he is given emergency powers.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is trying its best to find a way to solve the traffic situation, including the possibility of banning provincial buses on EDSA and strictly restricting all buses to the bus lanes.

But the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has the best solution to the situation through the Greater Metro Manila Railway Network! Right now, there are already several train lines plying Metro Manila, but the government is also working on seven more projects, including a subway and a Unified Grand Central Station.

With most of these projects already under construction, the DOTr hopes to complete everything in 2024.

A map of the Greater Metro Manila Railway Network was recently released – and this has wowed netizens who are hoping that the network will be fully operational sooner than 2024 to address the needs of the riding public.

The Unified Grand Central Station (also known as North Triangle Common Station or North Avenue Grand Central Station) is located in Barangay Bagong Pag–asa, Quezon City.

It will connect LRT 1 and MRT 3 as well as the southern terminus of the MRT 7 which is currently under construction. In the future, the station will also connect the Mega Manila Subway (Line 9) with the rest of the train lines.

With updates being made on the PNR lines, netizens are truly hoping that everything will be up and running very soon. This could be the best solution to the traffic problem.
