It’s all-or-nothing now for Rain Or Shine as they aimed to extend the series into game 4. If leading early is the barometer of victory, then the Elasto Painters were in the wrong position as they lost 2 in-a-row where they dominated the 1st half.

Just like game 2, it was an import showdown between ROS Carl Montgomery and SMB Chris Mcculough during the opening act. While Rey Nambatac and Terrence Romeo headlined the locals in terms of scoring.

Although leading San Miguel by 14, 30-16 at the end of the 1st quarter, the Elasto Painters had nothing to celebrate as they were still anxious of dejavu.

The Beermen started knocking on the door at the 2nd period. Ex Brooklyn Nets forward, Mccollough initiated the comeback and even had his amazing highlight reels.

Chris Mccollough earlier this morning expressed his willingness to be part of Gilas Pilipinas as a naturalized player on social media, made a statement in this game as he scored 31 points in the first 24 minutes.

As expected, San Miguel erased another mammoth advantage. ROS’ once 18-point edge abruptly vanished before the halftime break as SMB tied the game at 54-all.

For the first time in the series, Rain Or Shine was able to hold onto its lead after the 1st half. Big Beau Belga evaded the tough defense of June Mar Fajardo and got lucky from the three point line to keep his team on top.

Belga started the 3rd quarter but it was Rey Nambatac who finished it with a 6-point, 86-80 advantage.

Game 2 hero Chris Ross saw that ROS was getting away anew in the final canto. So, he showed up where his team needed him the most.

Elasto Painters’ lead went up to 9, but Ross showed no mercy from the outside and put SMB at the helm with over 6 minutes left.

Under 2 minutes of the fourth, Chris Mccollough hit another PBA milestone as he scored his 51st point of the game. Rain Or Shine however, took the lead back and had a chance to survive this game.

Beau Belga hit a dagger trey at the 11th second mark and escalated ROS’ lead to 6 and a ticket to game 4 on Friday, August 2.

The Elasto Painters lived another day, 112-104. Thanks to Beau Belga and Rey Nambatac’s heroic acts.
