Rodineil Dalisay or "Kuya Nel" has touched the hearts of many for his inspiring story of perseverance. But unfortunately, everything came to an end for the hardworking family man. Kuya Nel passed away as he joined our Creator on Saturday, July 20.

In our online interview with the cousin of Kuya Nel (name withheld for privacy purposes), she confirmed the sad news and added that the viral driver succumbed to heart attack. There is no truth to the circulating rumors that Neil committed suicide.

"Pinsan po ako ni kua Neil and heart attack po ung kinamatay nya hindi po totoo na nag suicide sya," Neil's cousin told The Summit Express.

Messages of condolences poured in for Nel and his family. Many shared how they were inspired by his story.

Netizen C. Manabat wrote, "Condolence to the family. I give my high respects to this man. I pray for the comfort of his bereaved family, for he did live his life courageously and meaningful. May he find eternal rest with our creator."

Netizen J. Mendoza also wrote, "Condolence po sa buong family. I deeply admire kuya for being a fighter and a great father despite his condition para maitaguyod ang family niya. Thank u for inspiring us, may you rest in peace."
