DJ Baby Girl Jasmin or Jasmin Basar in real life passed away early this morning, July 30 due to complications in the kidney.

Jasmin began his radio career as a writer until her hosting skills were discovered. In 2009, she started to give advice to the problems of her listeners through her show "Dear Jasmin."

Early this February, Jasmin opened up about her struggle with Chronic Kidney Disease. At age 28, she was already undergoing dialysis.

According to Dr. Elizabeth Montemayor, Jasmin's nephrologist at Manila Doctors Hospital, the radio host was suffering from Glomerulonephritis. It is when the part of the kidney that filters blood (called glomeruli) has been injured and can no longer get rid of wastes and extra fluid in the body.

At that time, Jasmin couldn't believe she was terribly sick. She lamented, "Bakit ako? Why me? Sa dami ng tao sa mundong masasama, bakit ako? Ganun ka ba ka bilib sa akin Lord at ganito agad ang binigay mong pagsubok?"

But Jasmin willed herself to fight. She said, "Everything will be alright in the end and I will be back to my old life."

Jasmin was supposed to be preparing for a kidney transplant.

Heartfelt messages poured in for Jasmin from her listeners and colleagues.

On the Facebook account of MOR, they gave thanks to their beloved Jasmin. They wrote, "Salamat, Jasmin. Mahal ka namin.”
