Alwytz Robiniol Gaoiran had always been fond of animals. Instead of spending time on gadgets, the 11-year-old would rather take care of their family animals. Living with his 7 other siblings in Buyon village, Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Alwytz had begged for a pet goat on Christmas Day last year.

But his father Ronnie, a farmer and his mother Brigida, who is currently working as a domestic helper in Kuwait, let him down because they couldn't afford it.

It was Alwytz’s brother Alvin, who is working in Manila, granted his long-time wish. On Alwytz's graduation day at the Buyon Elementary School in Bacarra, the animal lover had the surprise of his life when he finally got his own pet goat.

It was a graduation gift like no other and for Alwytz, it was the “best gift ever.”

Beaming with pride and happiness, Alwytz showed off his new goat. Even without receiving any honor medals, he was pleased that he was still rewarded by his loving kuya.

Alvin said that his shy but makulit younger brother wants to become a mechanical engineer someday. Being the only college graduate in the family, he hopes that he would get to see all siblings finish school.

The caring brother wrote on Facebook, “Congratulations, Alwytz. You know you are my favorite brother. This is now the start of more to come. I wanted to give you a cow, but I can’t afford it for now. Who knows in the future, we will have our own farm.”
