Last week, Pinoy hand shadow artist Philip Galit (Shadow Ace) got the hosts’ Golden Buzzer for his unique performance. On Thursday, 10-year-old Eleana Gabunada made judge David Foster jump to his feet to give her a standing ovation at the end of her audition piece. The songwriter would later hit the Golden Buzzer after first letting the other judges vote.

When asked what she wanted to be when she grows up, Eleana answered Anggun by saying she wants to be a performer and a Broadway singer. Such big dreams for a young kid, yet Eleana is determined to sing her way to Broadway and get a chance to perform with the stars.

Although still 10 years old, Eleana impressed everyone with a stellar rendition of “Don't Rain on My Parade” by Barbra Streisand. She might have looked shy on stage when she entered and even while she was talking to the judges, this young lady is obviously enthralled by music.

As soon as she sang the classic hit, the young lady regained her confidence. Despite the complexity of the song, Eleana managed to sing it so perfectly that David could not help but give her a standing ovation.

Judge Jay Park pointed out, when it was his turn to speak, that David rarely stands up for a performance yet he did so for Eleana. This simply goes to show that he was truly impressed by the young lady’s act. That definitely speaks volumes about her talent.

David, of course, was all praises for this young star.

“There's a lot of people much older than you that could sing that song but they don't understand the genre, they don't know what they're supposed to be doing,” David said.

“But somehow at the age 10, you understand your mission and your job. And there's no doubt in my mind that if you want to be in Broadway one day, you will be.”

Meanwhile, judge Anggun delightedly told Eleana that she’s a “Baby Streisand”, a lovely comment that refers to singer Barbra Streisand.

After Anggun and Jay voted “yes”, David looked at Eleana before standing up to press the Golden Buzzer! This puts her straight to the semi-finals.

But this is not Eleana’s first time on stage. This young girl has also impressed her fans in the Philippines after turning three chairs in “The Voice Kids” Season 3 with “Fight Song” in the auditions. She would later choose to be in Coach Lea Salonga’s team, but was eliminated in the Battles round.
