At 4:00 pm on Tuesday, state weather bureau PAGASA said that Southwest Monsoon is affecting Luzon and Visayas.

Meanwhile, the tropical depression at 1,570 km East of Extreme Northern Luzon (outside PAR) has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/hr near the center and gustiness of up to 65km/hr. It is moving north northwest at 10 km/hr.

PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said the tropical depression only has a slim chance of entering PAR. Otherwise, it would be given the name Karding, the Philippines' 11th tropical cyclone for 2018 and the 5th for this month.
