MANILA, Philippines – Classes have been suspended in several areas on Friday, July 20, 2018 due to southwest monsoon enhanced by Bagyong Inday.

In a weather bulletin issued at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, PAGASA said that Habagat will bring intermittent moderate to heavy monsoon rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales and Bataan, and scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon until Saturday (July 21).

Residents of the mentioned areas, especially those living in low-lying and mountainous areas are advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslide, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates.

'Bagyong Inday' has slightly intensified as it moves east-northeastward over Philippine Sea.
