Son lends mother his toga to let her experience the joy of graduating

A thoughtful son decided to lend his graduation toga to his mother who admitted she wasn’t able to graduate.

Graduation is truly a memorable event as it marks the beginning of a new journey and the fulfillment of their hard work. Unfortunately, not everyone gets the chance to experience this achievement. A netizen named Joshua Andres revealed a heartwarming moment when his mother excitedly put on his toga just so she too can experience the joy of graduating.

In a Facebook post that has gone viral, Joshua Andres revealed that her mother, Nanay Josephine felt wistful when she looked at her son’s graduation toga. She said, “‘Di ko man lang naranasan magsuot nito.”

Andres didn’t think twice in seizing the opportunity to let his mother enjoy the moment and told her, “Picturan kita, Ma! Dali!”

Nanay Josephine feeling excited, replied that she needed to fix herself first so she will look good. The excited mother said, “Wait, mag-aayos muna ako.”

The moment resulted to a priceless photo of Nanay Josephine shyly smiling at the camera, wearing a graduation toga, cap and a yellow hood.

The dutiful son reminded everyone that graduation is also about their parents’ hardwork and perseverance. He said, “Kahit ikaw ‘yung grumaduate mas masaya at mas feel yan ng magulang mo. Make them proud at ibalik lahat ng naitulong nila sa ‘yo. Kasi itinaguyod nila ang magiging bukas mo.”

He added to put our parents’ sacrifices to heart and not forget about them when we achieve our dreams in life. Joshua added, “It’s time to give them a good and happy life.”
