MANILA, Philippines - The first Professional Teachers board exam known as licensure exam for teachers (LET) in 2017 has been scheduled on March 26. Check out on this page for the requirements, deadline of filing applications and test program.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has opened the online processing on November 7, 2016 with the deadline of filing applications set on January 20, 2017.

The examination will be conducted in the following locations: Manila, All Regional Offices; Zamboanga, Bacolod, Rosales, Pangasinan and General Santos City.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. A citizen of the Philippines or an alien whose country has reciprocity with the Philippines

2. At least eighteen (18) years old

3. Of good moral character and good reputation with high moral values; has not been convicted
by final judgment by court for an offense involving moral turpitude

BASIC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Original and photo copies of Transcript of Records with Special Order, Date of Graduation, seal of the school, with scanned picture and remarks " For Board examination Purposes Only" (Res. 2004-200, s'04) (Ched recognition / permit to operate for graduates of new schools / programs)

2. Original and photo copies of Birth Certificate (NSO)

3. Four (4) passport size colored pictures with complete name printed

4. Metered Documentary Stamps

5. Community Tax Certificate / Cedula

6. Examination fee of P900

7. Educational Qualification / Training / Experience and Certifications to be Attached

  • For Teachers in Elementary Grade: BSEED or its equivalent
  • For Teachers in Secondary Grade: A bachelors degree in education or its equivalent with a major and minor and the degrees which shall be considered equivalent must have to take at least 18 units in Professional Education, or a bachelors degree in arts and sciences with at least ten units in professional education
  • For Teachers in Pre-school: A bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (BECED) or its equivalent
  • For Teachers in vocational and two-year technical course: A bachelors degree in the field of specialization or its equivalent, with at least 18 units in professional education.

ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM

All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply online (https://www.prc-online.com/). The requirements are to be submitted upon processing/issuance of Notice of Admission. Here's the step-by-step guide.

NOTE: Due to the sudden influx of transacting public at the PRC Central Office, you may consider availing PRC services (application for exam) at the following service centers:

1. ROBINSONS MANILA - Level 2, Padre Faura Wing of the Robinson’s Place Manila Ermita, Manila

2. ROBINSONS GALLERIA - At the Basement 1, East Lane via Robinsons Bank of Robinson’s Galleria, Ortigas Ave., Quezon City

3. CLARK SKILLS TRAINING CENTER (formerly Polytechnic College, Clark Pampanga)


PRC Mobile Service at SM City North Edsa and Calamba

PRC has announced the conduct of Mobile Services starting December 5, 2016 to January 20, 2017, from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00PM at SM City North Edsa and SM City Calamba, Laguna.

Applications for licensure exam will be accepted and processed on the abovementioned dates.

Applicants are advised to bring all needed documentary requirements for smooth processing of transactions.


March 2017 LET Program

PRC advised that separate test booklets will be used for the General Education (GE) and Professional Education (PE) subjects for both elementary and secondary levels in the March 2017 LET.
