Alaska beats June Mar-less San Miguel in PBA Finals Game 1, 100-91

MANILA, Philippines - The Alaska Aces escaped with a 100-91 victory against San Miguel to take Game 1 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals series on Sunday, January 17, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Vic Manuel scored 14 of his game-high 24 points in the last quarter as he led an Alaska comeback from 12 points down.

San Miguel, which was playing without injured MVP June Mar Fajardo, was led by Alex Cabagnot with 20 points.

The Aces are looking to get some redemption after losing to Beermen in both the Philippine Cup and Governors’ Cup a season ago, now leads 1-0 in the best-of-seven series.

Game 2 is scheduled on Tuesday night, January 19 also at the Big Dome.
