VIDEO: 'Pastillas Girl' mom shot dead in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines - Angelica Jane Yap, also known as "Pastillas Girl" mother was shot dead on Sunday evening at the corner of Tagaytay Street and Cabatuan Street in Barangay 131, Caloocan City.

A Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) camera of the barangay captured the killing of Maria Teresa Yap also known as "Teteng," who sustained a gunshot wound in the back of the head.


According to ABS-CBN News report, the 43-year-old barangay kagawad was with one of her daughters and her niece and was about to eat at a roadside eatery when an unknown man suddenly approached her from behind, shooting her at proximity.

Yap was taken to the Chinese General Hospital, but was pronounced dead at 9:20 p.m. Angelica went to the hospital after she learned about the incident.

On Twitter, the former It's Showtime darling shared her emotion. Condolences and sympathy to her family poured in immediately.







ABS-CBN also reported that Yap has received a lot of death threats via text messages saying she would be finished before Christmas but she just ignored it.

Police officials recovered 9mm shells from the incident. They are now investigating about the crime scene.
