After the meeting with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), PBB has released statement for the alleged "gender-insensitivity" of the challenge.

"While the objective of the week-long task was to see how the housemates would react to a test of their convictions and values, and was not intended to disrespect the rights of any housemate, the producers wish to convey their sincerest apologies to those who were offended, and assure the public and the MTRCB that the program will continue to ensure the protection of women's rights in general, and housemates' rights in particular, while providing quality and yet gender and audience-sensitive entertainment to its audiences worldwide," the statement read.

In the said episode, 23-year-old contestant Jayme Jalandoni was challenged to pose nude for a painting-for-charity. She was also asked to pick three other contestants to accompany her in the task, and she chose Daniel Mastunaga, Michelle Gumabao, and Ranty Fortento.

However, Jalandoni has decided not to pursue the said challenge after hearing her father's advice.

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) commented: "Kuya's exercise of authority over her is evidently suggestive; placing the female contestant under pressure. The episode showed the broadcast media's cold hearted perpetuation of exploitation of women on national TV. No Individual, TV show, or entity has the right to cause discrimination, insecurity, discomfort, offense or humiliation to any woman."

The MTRCB has called out ABS-CBN management on the issue. MTRCB said: "The conflict with religion and the incursion into otherwise harmonious family relations can also border on insensitivity toward Filipino values of faith and family."

On Monday, Senator Nancy Binay has filed resolution for the MTRCB to look into possible ethical breach committed by the reality show.

"I believe this is the second time PBB went overboard. How far can reality TV go for high ratings? Will we allow the network to exploit our women and children for ratings sake?" asked Binay.

PBB Host Toni Gonzaga also gave comment regarding the issue. "Alam naman ng 'PBB' 'yung limitation niya. Everything is just really to test a person's principle and values na kinalakihan," she said.
