CSC now accepts application for October 13, 2013 Civil Service Exams

Civil Service Commission (CSC) announces that starting today April 15, 2013, application for October 13, 2013 Civil Service Exam - Paper-and-Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) is now accepted. Application period is up to August 30 at the CSC Regional or Field Offices only.

Download the application form here. For the filing of application, CSC said that Central Office (CO) in Batasan Hills, Quezon City, does not accept and process applications for CSE-PPT. Check the list of Field Offices here.

Acceptance of applications shall be on a First-Come, First-Serve basis. Filing of application closes forty-five (45) days before the examination date. However, applications may no longer be accepted before the deadline if the target number of applicants has already been reached by the CSCROs.

CSC advised that there shall be no limit in taking the Career Service Examination, however, taking the same level of examination, Professional or Subprofessional, either through Paper-and-Pencil Test (PPT) shall be once in every three (3) months only.

Generally, you must be a Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old, and of good moral character; have no criminal record or have not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude and have not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government.

Examinees should submit the following: (a) a fully-accomplished application form with the spaces for “Signature of Applicant” and “Right Thumb Mark” left blank; (b) four copies of identical ID pictures in accordance with the specifications on the CSC’s website; (c) original and photocopy of any valid ID containing applicant’s clear picture, date of birth, signature, and signature of the authorized head of the issuing agency (ex. driver’s license, SSS ID, etc.); and examination fee of P500.

Failure to come on the scheduled examination date would mean forfeiture of examination slot and fee. No request for re-scheduling is allowed.

Last October 2012 exams, CSC said that out of 113,168 examinees, a total of 13,412 or 11.85 percent passed the Career Service Examinations. Of the said figure, 11,449 passed the Professional level while 1,963 passed the Sub-Professional level.
