Bradley wins via split decision over Pacquiao

Netizens appealed on the social stream for the controversial judges' decision in the recently concluded Pacquiao-Bradley fight.

American boxer Timothy Bradley won a contested split decision over Pinoy Pride Manny Pacquiao. It was a remarkable moment for the Filipino boxer absorbing first defeat after seven years. It didn't come easy and it wasn't without controversy, with the pro-Pacquiao crowd booing loudly when the decision was announced.

Although Pacquiao landed more punches than Bradley but when scorecards was shown, Bradley was 115-113 on two scorecards making him the winner by split decision.

Bradley seemed hurt in the fourth and fifth rounds, but Pacquiao had trouble landing big punches after that. Still, he seemed in control of the fight everywhere but on the judge's scorecards.

"Can you believe that? Unbelievable," promoter Bob Arum said. "I went over to Bradley before the decision and he said, `I tried hard but I couldn't beat the guy.'", he added.

Twitter users appeal:

Anton says - A sad day for boxing and an insulting one to all the boxing greats Manny Pacquiao defeated in the past.Boooooo!

Jay Strawter says - Doc Rivers' pre-game quote "you cannot win a championship fight without throwing punches" seems really hilarious to me right now"

Alex Pasia says - No but seriously am I the only one who's heart sank when the announcer said "the new......."

Exavier Pope says- "Everyone complaining RIPBoxing about Bradley/Pacquiao decision will pony up another $49.99 to see rematch November 10th."

Anand Arsenal says - "I seriously fear for Tim Bradley's life if there's a rematch. Manny won't leave ANYTHING to the judges' discretions"

After this major fight of the year, we had expected a trend that says "Congrats Bradley" but none in the trends list. Result is still unacceptable to the majority of boxing fans.
