While 'Bagyong Isang' left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday afternoon, state weather bureau PAGASA said the weather system will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon or habagat. It may bring light up to heavy rains over Luzon and Western Visayas, particularly the provinces of Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Mindoro.

DEVELOPING STORY: The updated list of class suspensions for Wednesday, August 23, 2017 due to Habagat will be available on this page once announced (refresh page for the updates).

Based on automatic class suspension guideline, LGUs have the authority to declare local suspensions in areas where there is no storm signal.

Good weather in Metro Manila and Luzon can be expected on Thursday, PAGASA weather forecaster Chris Perez said.

There are also no new weather disturbances expected in the next couple of days, but Perez added there might be a new tropical cyclone before the month ends.
