On Thursday, June 29, Ibañez claimed he and his companions identified as “Tony” and “Inggo” were under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs when they murdered Auring Dizon 58; Estrella Dizon 28; Donnie,11; Ella, 7 and Dexter Jr., 1.

Apparently, Ibañez, Tony and Inggo all took P150 worth of shabu during a drinking session prior to the murders.

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Ibañez denied that they planned on carrying out the crimes because Estrella didn’t allow them to draw water from a well. According to the suspect, he raped the two victims at the spur of the moment.

“Wala lang po, parang trip-trip lang... Naisipan lang pasukin, ganoon. Hindi naman po sinadya namin na talagang -- kusa lang pong pinasok.”

He also said that they did not intend to kill the children, who sometimes watched television in his sister’s house.

"Hindi po namin alam na may bata doon, ano na po kasi sa droga... Iyung mga bata, nakaka-meet ko rin po iyun. Minsan po kasi, nanood iyun sa kabila, sa ano ng ate ko, bahay,” Ibañez explained.

While authorities are still looking for Ibañez’ cohorts, the suspect decided to come forward and surrender to authorities because he regrets his crime. He is hoping that the victims’ family will be able to forgive him.

Early on Tueday, security guard Dexter Carlos discovered the bodies of his family stabbed to death inside their home at North Ridge Royal Subdivision.

Carlos believes the suspects possibly knew his family well as several neighbors would buy tap water taken from their facuet at the front yard of their house.

Four neighbors had been classified as persons of interest.
