While the magnitude 5.6 and 6.0 was mildly felt in Tanza town in Cavite past 3:00 p.m., a loud piercing sound was produced based on the video shared by a certain Luis Sebastian del Rosario on Facebook.

Sebastian, who claimed the sound was due to the strong earthquake, pointed that it emanated from the huge water tank.

In his interview with GMA News, he said they went out of their residences in Lhinette Homes, Barangay Biga due to the disturbing sound.

As of press time, the video has amassed over 22,000 views with netizens gave their speculations on the alleged creepy sound.

Netizen c41vin has his explanation on the cause of the phenomenon: "The quake caused the water stored in the tank to shift... with the volume of water shifting inside the tank, the weight is also shifting... this is causing the tank to sway and the swaying is what was producing the sound. These are the metal joints squeaking and straining against each other. Good thing the tank support is still sound and was able to endure the extreme force."
