Three TV shows featuring ‘Northern Lights’ star Yen Santos

“Northern Lights: A Journey To Love,” a romantic drama film starring the ultimate heartthrob Piolo Pascual, has been shown in cinemas on March 29. Aside from Papa P's appeal and abs, movie-goers would probably love to know more of his leading lady in the movie.

Lilieyen Santos, more popularly known as Yen Santos, is not the usual leading lady Piolo Pascual had. “Northern Lights” is her first movie appearance in a main role. For those who haven't know yet, we will give you the three TV shows in which Yen Santos made her what she is.

1. Pinoy Big Brother

Yen Santos was a housemate during Pinoy Big Brother (PBB): Teen Clash 2010 season. James Reid was the Big Winner. Obviously, look at where James Reid is now. Yen didn't even made it to the Big 4, but despite of that, so many opportunities came to her; one of these is the film “Northern Lights.”

2. Pure Love

Alongside Alex Gonzaga and Joseph Marco, Yen spearheaded in this series as one of the main characters of ABS-CBN’s primetime serye “Pure Love” as Ysabel - an average working girl who led a rather ‘lifeless’ life after the death of his boyfriend until her fate intertwined with Diane (Alex Gonzaga). Shown in 2014, this was her first main role in a TV series.

3. All of Me

Yen also became the leading lady for Albert Martinez in the TV series "All of Me" in 2015. She portrayed the role Lena Dimaculangan, a young woman who boldly challenges Manuel Figueras (Albert Martinez) to embrace life again after the latter's loss of a wife. Included in the cast is JM de Guzman, the younger version of Albert Martinez.
