MANILA, Philippines - A huge fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay Damayan in E. Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City on Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2017.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the fire near the St. Luke's hospital reached fifth alarm at 2:48 p.m.
E. Rodriguez Araneta both bound were closed due to the incident. "Please take alternate routes," MMDA said.
The blaze started at 2:24 p.m. as reported by TXTFIREPhilippines, SMS and Tweet Dispatch System.
In the initial investigation of the Beareu of Fire Protection (BFP), they said that fire started from the third floor of a residential structure owned by a certain Ryan Cano. The house was made of light materials.
A total of 300 houses were affected by the huge fire.
