"It is with great sadness to inform everyone that our little fighter, Baby Jade, has left us at exactly 4:15 AM today, 10 September 2016, with her family by her side," Valenzuela City Gov confirmed her death on Facebook.

"Thank you to all the good samaritans who extended their help and thank you everyone for the prayers. #PaalamBabyJade," the local government added.

Baby 'Jade' was comatosed for more than a week due to lack of oxygen. She was initially confined at the Valenzuela General Hospital before being transferred to the Philippine Children's Medical Center on September 2.

She was found alive wrapped in a plastic bag dumped into a trash can inside Jade Garden Townhomes, an exclusive gated community at Don Pedro, Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City last August 25.

On August 31, the identity of Baby Jade’s mother, a housemaid who was working for townhouse residents, has been uncovered by the Valenzuela City police force, through the “Task Force Baby Jade.”

Earlier this month, the authorities filed a case of frustrated infanticide against the mother.
