MANILA, Philippines - Due to persistent inclement weather brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), some local government units (LGUs) have declared class suspensions for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

According to state weather bureau PAGASA on its 11:00 a.m. bulletin on Tuesday, Habagat will continue to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over the Ilocos Region and over the provinces of Benguet, Zambales and Bataan.

PAGASA advised residents of the affected areas to keep monitoring and be alert for possible flash floods and landslides.

In Metro Manila and Luzon, light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected to prevail.

Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area was estimated based on all available data at 1,360 km East of Baler, Aurora (14.7°N, 134.2°E).
