VIDEO: Duterte reveals long list of officials, policemen, judges allegedly involved in drug trade

MANILA, Philippines - President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Sunday morning, August 7, has revealed the long list of incumbent and former government officials (mayor and vice-mayor), including trial court judges and policemen allegedly involved in the drug syndicates.

Duterte announced the list in Camp Panacan, Davao City during a wake for troops killed in recent clashes with the New People's Army in Compostela Valley.

The president said the names were validated by the police and the military.

"I ordered the validation. I am the one reading it and I am the sole person responsible for this one," he said.

This is part of the intensified campaign against illegal drugs and criminality as promised to be zero out in just 3 to 6 months since the assumption in office.

The law enforcerment officials were immediately relieved from their posts and will be investigated of the criminal and administrative charges.

In July, he has named five police generals, including three still in active duty, he said were involved in illegal drugs.

Based on ABS-CBN report, there were 852 recorded drug-related deaths from May 10, when Duterte's election win became clear, to August 5.
