VIRAL: Cult leader allegedly beheads OFW

MANILA, Philippines - Filipinos believe that the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are the modern day heroes. They are truly one of Philippine economy's growth sources due to their daily money remittances. It is a fact that not all OFWs experience good luck abroad. Some are being mistreated by their employers and get imprisoned. But many are still blessed, successful and were able to raise their families well. It was just too unfortunate that a hardworking Filipina OFW suffered a gruesome ending in the hands of a ruthless cult leader in Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

A fellow OFW, Diane Hyacenth Dulap, shared photos of the severed head and remains of Norma Albete who was brutally beheaded due to still unknown reasons. Dulap, on behalf of Albete's kin, clamor for justice.

The complainant narrated on her Facebook account that the beheading happened at Brgy. Caulan on May 16. Dulap also aired her frustrations towards the barangay officials specifically their captain Ramil Labang due to lack of action on the said heinous crime.

Dulap on her social media statement accused Sagrado Corazon cult leader, Jonathan "Natan" Diacusa who man-slaughtered the poor OFW. According to Dulap, the suspect is also a staff of Brgy. Caulan under Chairman Labang. Thus, blamed the barangay head for coddling the culprit.

Although the crime happened couple of months ago, the incident has only been publicized last Friday, July 8th by Dulap on social media. Her post has already earned thousands of sympathies from the netizens who are also crying for justice for the fallen modern day hero.

This is the third time in three months that a beheading happened in the country. Canadians John Ridsdel and Robert Hall were both decapitated by their abductors, international terrorists group Abu Sayaff for failing to get the ransom money from the Philippine and Canadian governments.

As of publishing time, the alleged killer is still at large.
