MANILA, Philippines - In less than a week, the Facebook page “Tularan si Juan” quickly took the social media by storm through its witty Pinoy goal memes. The page set up on January 11 surprisingly became an overnight sensation in the Internet after amassing over 200,000 followers in just a matter of three days.

A parody of the popular Facebook page “Be Like Bill”, the page quickly won the hearts of Pinoys through the use a character most of us can relate with - Juan. The hilarious memes featuring the iconic Pinoy character teach local values that most of us tend to overlook.

In an interview with, the creators of the page revealed: “We base our memes on real-life, everyday experiences for Filipinos. I think that's why it is able to touch the Filipino community in a really personal way. Adding to that, gusto rin po namin mapaalala yung local values natin and yung ibang mga faults na nao-overlook,”

(We want to remind them of our local values and some faults that are often overlooked.)
