MMFF 2015 Update: 'My Bebe Love,' 'Beauty and the Bestie' lead box-office race (Day 3)

MANILA, Philippines - The romantic comedy film 'My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore' and comedy-action movie 'Beauty and the Bestie' are in tight race for the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) box-office based on the latest figures released by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for three-day period in theaters.

In a report to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos said 'My Bebe Love' is leading with P159 million citing data from December 25 to 4p.m. of December 27 (Day 3.)

Produced by five giant film outfits OctoArts Films, MZET, APT, MEDA, and GMA Films, 'My Bebe Love' stars veteran comedians Vic Sotto and Ai Ai delas Alas and breakout stars of 2015, the AlDub loveteam composed of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.

Meanwhile, Star Cinema and Viva Fims movie 'Beauty and the Bestie' raked in P131 million in the same period. The flick stars box-office comedian Vice Ganda, 'King of Teleserye' Coco Martin and bankable loveteam of JaDine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre.)

Jericho Rosales and Jennylyn Mercado -led movie '#WalangForever' entered the top 3 slot with P36 million. Both stars won the top acting awards in the recently concluded MMFF Awards night.

'Haunted Mansion' starring Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel, Jerome Ponce placed fourth with P29 million.
