VIDEO: Young guitarist Rock Opong turns 3 chairs on 'The Voice'

MANILA, Philippines - Eight-year-old young guitarist Galeno "Rock" Opong from Iloilo City wowed the three coaches during the sixth week of the Blind Auditions of ABS-CBN's popular vocal competition "The Voice Kids" Philippines Season 2 on Sunday, July 12, 2015.


Rock Opong sang The Script's "No Good in Goodbye." He got standing ovation from the coaches.


"Rock, mukhang bagay talaga tayo?" Coach Bamboo told Rock.

However, the 3-chair turner Rock chose Coach Sarah to be his mentor.

Team Sarah is now leading with 17 artists: Rock Opong, Joshua Turino, Gift Cerna, Andoy Patuasic, Iya Dator, Alyssa Celo, Francis Ryan Lim, Gian Tambis Ale, Ken Membrano, Krystle Campos, Kyle Echarri, Zephanie Dimaranan, Kenshley Abad, Mikhaela Sevillana and Jolianne.

Making up Kamp Kawayan, meanwhile, are Ashley Alcayde, Romeo Espino, Atascha Mercado, Altair Aguelo, Christian Pasno, Lance Kharl Macalinao, Martina Ortiz Luis, Benedict Inciong, Nicole Apolinar, Ashley Simone Teves and Emman & Sandy Tanyo.

Coach Lea already recruited ten artists for her team: Aihna Imperial , Angel Enerio, Kiyana Bongat, Bianca Marbella, Reynan Dal-Anay, Stephanie Jordan, Noah Anthony Anderson, Esang de Torres, Joemar "Dodong" Lazarraga and Luke James Alford.

"The Voice Kids," which is hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo and Yeng Constatino airs Saturdays at 6:45 p.m. and on Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
