Revilla surrendered to the Sandiganbayan on Friday morning after the anti-graft court's First Division ordered his arrest in connection with the 10 billion-peso pork barrel or PDAF scam.

Revilla is now facing one count of plunder and 16 counts of graft and detained at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame.

Reports say that Revilla has experienced severe migraine as he entered the jail for the first time. His lawyer Joel Bodegon told reporters that migraine is due to the heat in his detention facility.

Upon learning her husband’s condition, Revilla’s wife and Bacoor representative Lani Mercado reportedly rushed to the nearest store to buy medicines for his migraine, toiletries and other basic necessities.

Aside from his wife, immediate family members including sons Cavite Vice Governor Jolo and Bryan, daughter Inah, brother Strike Revilla and close friend and actor Phillip Salvador accompanied the Senator.

Meanwhile, Richard Cambe, Revilla's chief political adviser and co-accused in the case, also surrendered to the Sandiganbayan. He is now being brought to Camp Crame.
