PNP Chief Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac reported that Cornejo arrived at Camp Crame in Quezon City at around 4 p.m. Cornejo was accompanied by her granduncle Rod Cornejo and the senior Cornejo's legal counsel, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.

Cornejo was then transferred to the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) building. She will be presented to the public and the media was informed that an official statement will follow.

Sindac said they have yet to verify whether Cornejo was hiding with Lee and Raz, following evidence that the two had a female companion in Samar. However, Topacio denied that Cornejo was never in the area with her co-accused.

Veteran broadcaster and avid supporter of mauled actor Vhong Navarro, Mr. Tony Calvento said Deniece was the person being pursued the last two days. She was reportedly in Boracay with some friends but since there were so many people there, the NBI failed to capture her.

However, it was verified that the report of NBI-NCR of Deniece's location turned out to be negative.

In a report of ABS-CBN News, it says that Cornejo's family contacted PNP Human Rights Affairs Office head Chief Supt. Prudencio Tom Banas, with whom they are acquainted, to express Deniece's intention to surrender.

Other accused in the illegal detention case, Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz were arrested in Oras, Eastern Samar last April 25.

Aside from Cornejo, Lee, and Raz, arrest warrants were also issued against Ferdinand Guerrero and Jed Fernandez. Meanwhile, Cedric's sister Bernice and Jose Paolo Calma, were issued separate arrest warrants for grave coercion.

Cornejo claimed she was raped by Navarro in Forbeswood Heights condominium with the latter revealed to media that he was blindfolded, tied up and mauled by Lee's group. Navarro said he was forced to camera that he raped Cornejo.

In a series of court hearing, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has dismissed Cornejo's rape complaint against Navarro.
