DPWH releases Holy Week 2014 traffic advisory

Manila, Philippines - The Department of Public Works and Highways - National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) on Tuesday released traffic advisory in line with the road reblocking to be done this Holy Week.

All motorists are advised to avoid EDSA and take alternative routes due to the DPWH - NCR road reblocking, which will commence from April 16, 2014, (Wednesday) at 2:00 p.m. for Southbound, and at 12:00 p.m. of April 17, 2014, (Thursday) for Northbound on the following roads:

Pasay City

Southbound
Zamora St. to Roxas Blvd.

Makati City

Northbound
Evangelista to Guadalupe Bridge, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th lane.

Southbound
Guadalupe Bridge to Evangelista St., 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th lane.

Mandaluyong

Northbound
Guadalupe Bridge to SM Megamall;
J. Vargas to Temple Drive.

Southbound
Guadalupe Bridge to near Libertad St.;
Annapolis to after Megamall.


Quezon City

Northbound
Roosevelt Ave. to Quezon Ave., 3rd, 4th, 5th inner lane;
Gate 3 to Gate 2, 1st lane from sidewalk and 1st lane from MRT line.

Southbound
Roosevelt Ave. to West Ave., 5th inner lane;
Roosevelt Ave. to Quezon Ave., 3rd, 4th, 5th inner lane;

New York St. to Cubao Underpass, 1st lane;
Gate 1 to Annapolis, 1st lane.

Other road reblocking, which will be implemented simultaneously with EDSA works are as follows:

Along Main Avenue, from 10th to 15th Avenue, Quezon City;
Along Kamuning Rd, from Sct. Ybardolaza to Tomas Morato, 2nd lane, Quezon City;
Along Balete Drive, from Campanilla to Aurora Blvd., 1st lane, Quezon City;
Along Bayani St., from Unang Hakbang to Cordillera St., 1st lane.

The repaired roads will be opened to motorists on April 21, 2014, Monday, at 5:00 a.m.
