Manila, Philippines - Kapamilya TV host Bianca Gonzalez is now engaged to her boyfriend and basketball player JC Intal.

Bianca Gonzalez now engaged to JC Intal after airport proposal

On Thursday morning, March 20, 2014, Intal proposed to Gonzalez at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2.

Intal knelt on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. Gonzalez looked surprised and was also teary-eyed, as banners “Bianca, please say yes” were held by the people around her. A kiss later sealed the proposal.

It was 2011 when Gonzalez admitted that she and Intal are officially a couple. Last year, Gonzalez revealed that she and Intal have been teen talking about their future.

Gonzalez thanked everyone for their messages and best wishes as congratulatory messages hit Twitter.

"Thank you to EVERYONE messaging us! My fiancé and I (waaaaah "fiancé"!!!!) are SO overwhelmed by all the love and support. Di namin akalain."

The surprise proposal happened at the airport has been a hot topic on social media lately with 'JC Intal' trended on Twitter Philippines and his name immediately topped Google rising searches for the past 7 days.

On Thursday night, Gonzalez said she is the "happiest girl in the world" after a photo of herself wearing her engagement ring was uploaded on Instagram Thursday night.

Gonzalez also made series of Instagram posts to reveal surprises from Intal while on the plane:

"My fiancè is the sweetest part 1: during breakfast on the plane, I was served this note in a wine glass. "

"My fiancè is the sweetest part 2: around 5 hours into the flight, while eating my in-flight adobo lunch, this note came in another wine glass."

"My fiancè is the sweetest part 3: when I woke up on the plane, the pilot (yes, as in the pilot of the plane!!) comes out to talk to me and congratulate me, hands me JC's passport holder (that I was borrowing from JC before I left pero he said no), and inside was this third and final note."

In the exclusive interview of ABS-CBN News, Intal explained what it felt like to be down on one knee, popping the question in front of a crowd at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

"I was really nervous. My hands are shaking until now but it's all worth it. Her expression and reaction. She was in tears. I'm glad she said yes," he said

Intal said that he planned the proposal in December last year. However, due to the TV host's schedule, he had to postpone the plans to a later date.

He also announced the plans to marry Gonzalez in either November or December this year in a church wedding to be held in the country.
