Why ABS-CBN's 'Be Careful With My Heart' is a BIG HIT?

ABS-CBN strongly proved it's dominance not only in the ratings game but on the heart of Filipinos. The success of 'Be Careful With My Heart' on continous winning streak uplifts the network's morning flavors.

Be Careful With My heart phenomenal success, big hit

Kantar Media and AGB Neilsen research highlight 'Be Careful With My Heart' (BCWMH) the no. 1 daytime show in the Philippines for 2012 and 2013. For those who are Sir Chief -Maya avid fans, they knew already the reason why the show is a big hit.

Premiered on July 9, 2012, Be Careful is a 'kilig-serye' topbilled by Jodi Sta. Maria (Maya) and Richard Yap (Sir Chief). It is considered as the first Philippine television drama filmed and aired on high definition (HDTV-1080i).

The show beats rival shows on GMA Network and even surpassed some ABS-CBN's primetime soaps. Noon time show 'Eat Bulaga' from TAPE, Inc., the king of daytime before was pulled behind 'Be Careful with my Heart' for about 9 months now.

'Be Careful' according to Kantar Media is among the top 15 TV Programs in the Philippines for March 2013 with an average rating of 25.7%. This is very high rating for a daytime program which means a phenomenal success.

There are several attempts strategized by GMA-7 to regain the strength on daytime viewing but none of these stop 'Be Careful With My Heart' winning streak.

On social media, 'Be Careful With My Heart' is a consistent hot topic on Twitter, Facebook and with volumes of episode replays uploaded to Youtube daily.

ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio on April 23 said that 'Be Careful With My Heart' to stay on air 'forever'. 'Forever' means as long as the public is supporting the show.

Generally, the show's uniqueness lies on good plot of story, good casting and the show's theme to promote 'good vibes' or positive outlook in life inspite of challenges.

Story reflects reality in life on which majority of Filipinos can relate. It's very different from the usual drama filmed by ABS-CBN which are usually based on 'heavy drama' concept. 'Be Careful' is unique for being categorized as 'light drama' - no violence, no sensitive contents, no fantasies, less stress to viewers.

The story is simple and revolves on how Maya dela Rosa will achieve the goal of uplifting her family from poverty. Maya's dream of becoming a stewardess became possible thru Richard Lim 'Sir Chief' who offered her to be a temporary nanny to his three problematic children: Luke (Jerome Ponce), Nikki (Janella Salvador) and Abby (Mutya Orquia).

Maya realizes that since Richard’s wife died, the family’s joy died with her; hence their problems. Maya is tasked to bridge Richard to his children and eventually she succeeds in rebuilding the family. However, in repairing their broken hearts, Maya encounters bigger challenges that test her determination and, more importantly, her heart. While fulfilling her obligation, she falls in love with the Lim children and, admittedly, with Richard.
