Smart announces more LTE plans

Starting January 15, Smart will offer its most affordable LTE plan with 5GB monthly data that can reach up to 42mbps, the PLAN 1299. Last year, Plan 1749 and Plan 3500 announced.

Smart said that starting February 1, 2013, LTE subscribers may avail of  LTE volume data packages on top of the monthly volume cap. At the start of each monthly billing cycle, the volume cap will be replenished.

Smart LTE Plans offer the latest in broadband technology that provides a very high-speed Internet, enhancing your Internet experience on an entirely different level. This groundbreaking innovation can handle blistering download speeds of up to 42Mbps. Its low latency makes it ideal for streaming HD video, uploading and downloading large files, playing seamless online games, and other high-bandwidth apps.

Last month, Smart announced the hotly anticipated smartphones - the Sony Xperia V and ZTE T82 on postpaid bundle powered with Smart Long Term Evolution (LTE).

Sony Xperia V is the the highest water resistant LTE-powered smartphone with the latest generation Snapdragon S4 dual core 1.5 GHz as its processor.

ZTE T82 however supports LTE Category 3 and uses a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor which is a single chip solution and is built on the advanced 0.28 nm technology.

Smart said that availment of new plans is initially available in the following Retail Stores only: Cash and Carry, SM San Lazaro, Robinson’s Place Ermita, Festival Mall, Gateway, Southmall, Rockwell, and Greenhills.
